Well, it was only 165miles, which is small potatoes to some people, but that is like a huge amount for me. Since I joined this bike club earlier in the year, i've been getting out more.
I missed most of the summer with them as I was busy, but in the last 7 days I have been out 3 times with them.
Yesterday, just four including me. I was without doubt the greenest, and least experienced of the bunch, and held them up a fair bit. I've no doubt if I hadn't been there, they'd have covered many more miles in the same time, had they so wished. But one of them would always wait for me, at a junction, or roundabout, if they'd turned off, and not gone straight on, if i'd fallen behind.
One retired motorcycle copper, one riding instructor, and an ex-army despatch rider, and me. Still, I learned loads, when I was following them round corners, and watching them overtake. I only overtook when I felt safe, so maybe 1/3 times, I didn't do it.
We went out past Stratfford, down "fosse way" out past Coventry, and all around, stopped for grub at a nice caff.
So, anyway. I don't feel quite as novice as I did in June when I bought my bike.

Well done dude.......... I know how toy feel, I only passed my test in june then broke my shoulder so i'm like you building up the stamina.
Main thing is you sound like you enjoyed it and you had a good and safe ride which is what really counts.

I went to the motogp2006 .
I rode from Ballarat to Phillip Island, with 6 other mates.
We rode 713 kms, in one day up and back.
My arse cheeks felt like id been rooted by
an elephant ! ahha.
After 8 fuel stops , KFC twice and cold ride home.
I took the following day off work ahaha.
So next time ill think ill camp for a few days. ____________________ Zxr250R import / 2001 CR125 / YZF R6 2007 work done.

it doesn't matter how good the bike is, any bike can cover the distance - even my cagiva has done 120 miles on the motorway at night in quite cold cold (and rainy) conditions. What matters is if your seat is hard as nails and if your tank crushes your nuts into oblivion, you're not gonna go very far.
