Apologies for moaning...........

First time riding in fog since passing my DAS..............and I am not digging it Confused

Went out to Castleton, Hathersage etc this morning, and the run out wasn't nice. The fog was horrible and my shitty visor was misting up big time, even with it cracked open a bit...... which didnt help Shocked Not good news for a novice like me.

Other than that once I got past the fog, twas a lovely ride out, and the scenery was well worth the hassle Smile

You should try living in Aberdeen. It feels like there's har more days than not. Laughing It's like driving through curtains, and will come in from the sea no matter the weather. Keep the visor closed, breathe lightly through your nose and wipe the outside when you need to. I'd open it fully rather than just a crack if you're going to open it.

Slowing down is always good too. Thumbs Up

Only encounted fog one morning (only been riding 4 months) and it was actually quite nice. I was riding to work for 6.30 so left at 6 and saw the fog straight away. I left my visor up and the mist from the fog woke me up before I got to work.

I remember riding to squires in freezing fog on the motorway with crappy gear on, i was freezing, couldnt see anything and the zxr400 i was following was suffering badly from carb icing.

All fun and games though, never appreciated a hot drink so much in my life!

On my way to work this morning it was really foggy...i was lucky to see 5ft in front of me...i actually stopped and it made me 20 mins late but heyho, i had already organised to work over Smile

My visor is meant to be 'anti - fog' (its a HJC visor) and its crap, it fogs up just as much as my old standard visor and its harder to get rid of it to!

having all the vents open and open 1 clicker and it didn't help....so ended up riding there with my visor all the way open. Looked like i had somet rammed up my arse my eyes were watering that much Shocked Laughing

There's fog and real fog - it can get so thick over the moors you have to go less than 30, its often laced with drizzle which makes it unpleasant since you need the visor up really.
Even worse at night especially on minor roads with no white lines.

You never said what lid you had, but i'd suggest you buy a good quality insert. No on particually likes riding in the fog. But hey you'll come across worse than a bit of fog i can assure you Laughing

3 months after passing my cbt i got hit with fog like that. My main worry was being whacked up the arse by an idiot.

Keep your eyes on your mirrors, you can't see shit infront of you, but at least you'll see a car's headlights in your mirrors!
