best time to buy stuff?

Bikes I know its January/Feb
Bike gear probably the same period
Tools , I'm going to buy some Halfords stuff end of the week.

but what about other stuff?

Like normal non bike clothes
cell phones
new laptops and PC bits.
etc

I bloody well know after xmas that some prices come down but then again many prices are artificially increased and cut back down to the original prices.

Any thoughts?

Clothes = Depends what you want. Winter is best for summer clothes and summer is best for winter/autumn clothes.
Deals on cell phones are best around summer as all of the old stock takes a huge drop in price.
This time of year is best for PC bits as they tend to bring out new models in late autumn.
