happened to me a coupla times (low revs on a 125 2t) Doing about 30 in 5th gear. Slipping the clutch and giving it a fist full of throttle normally scares them off a bit...

I'd imagine some engines must give off frequancys that sound like another big hairy growling dog? (seems as good a reaosn as any Razz )

Do have to be carefull though wouldn't take much for one to end up under your wheel, and a good chance you'd not win (not without takeing a trip down the road on your ass)

id say it was poorly trained dogs that did not experience enough sights/sounds as pups.

can be trained out of them but most owners are too lazy

I think you might be on to something there. I was following behind an open-backed landrover a while ago with a dog in the back that started to bark every time i rolled off the throttle, as if the low frequency was annoying it / hurting its ears. Thinking

It's definitely the low frequencies which do it. I first thought that high frequencies would aggravate dogs, but my own experiences have proved otherwise.

Yeah, I got 4 dogs, and if I leave them out with the bike when im letting the bike warm up. They go ape!

Seriously, Id rather let 4 chavs stand round my bike when its warming up than my dogs!

Dog doesn't like my bike.

He loves the car, because he can sit in the front seat.

Kids and wife sit in the rear.

I have actually found paw prints on my bike seat when i've left him in the garage (when he's wet after walkies there's a heater in there). Plus the other week a mirror had been pushed as well as my gps detector.

To a dog, a bike isn't that impressive.

I loved my old crash helmet with my dogs, lol, It had them sunglasses things that pop down, and as well as the proper visor..

Now I got just a tinted visor... And I pretend to growl at them, whilst opening the visor when im making a noise and closing it when im not making a noise... They get well confused and angry..

I need to ride my bike more..

I find that dogs hate crash helmets.

When you are wearing them that is.

At least they cannot bite your face off.

My cats barely notice/care, except to note I'm home. I hope that one of them doesn't nudge its head on the engine. Cats can be fairly fearless. Some dogs really do go a bit nuts when I'm riding past.

I was just wondering if this happens to others.

Whenever i ride past a person with a dog (on lead) just steady riding, say in 5th at 35mph, the dog 4 out of 5 times tries to attack me, barking at me and usually pulling the arm off the owner trying to get to me Laughing

Does this happen with all bikes, is it just a certain sound they make that the dog doesnt like, or is it just me they dont like Laughing (Even my own dog barks at the window when i pull up at home)

Do you wear Hi Vis? A lot of dogs really don't like high-vis/retroreflective stuff for some reason
