Hi guys,

got a memo from yamaha today at work and figured some of u might be affected.

Yamaha world wide recall.

xvs1600 (wildstar) needs to have the forth gear changed as it has been found under extreme load the dogs (locking teeth on the gear) can crack.
cant remember the chassis range but its pretty much every bike made in the last 2 years world wide!

uk specific
recalls on current FZ-6 N and S, R6 (up to 2002-05) R1 (02-05), FZ-1 N and S, MT-03, MT-01, XT660 R and X, YP125/250 Xmax for a change of the TPS (throttle position sensor) basically the current ones are filling up with road dust and arnt working as they should making the throttle response jerky and the bike can have idling troubles.

If u got the bike from a dealer you should be registered with yamaha and your get a letter, so wont ned to know this, but if u have bought the pike private or from ebay etc....chances are u wont get told.

hope this helps Razz
