I have just bought a Fuji Finepix A500, and as it only has a small internal memory, I need to buy a memory card for it.

I need to get a XD type M card. my question is...... is it possible to transfer photos to my pc, using just the memory card whilst it is inserted in the camera, or will I need a memory card reader?

Thanks
BB

Hi

Not sure but a card reader makes things easy.

All the best

Yes it is possible.
Just use the supplied USB lead while the card is in the camera.

Get a cheap card reader (7 Day Shop are really cheap at the moment for memory and readers). If you just connect the camera to the PC then you are using the camera batteries (and digital cameras just love to eat batteries)

the software and supplied lead will easilly transfer the pics through the camera.

You shouldn't have to worry about batteries really. The usb lead acts as a power cable as well, supplying enough power to the camera as it needs to read the pictures. I am not sure about your specific camera, however every camera I have had does the same. If my batteries are flat, it will still transfer the photos! Very Happy
