CBR Brakes

HI fellas

A mate of mine has a 97 CBR . Everything seems fine apart from the brakes. They feel really spongy and there isnt much braking power. The pads look fine, as do the discs and they have recent new brake fluid in. He is thinking of buying some Hel braided brake lines, but are these likely to help at all?

Braided lines should help, if it's on its original hoses then they're about 10 years old and bound to be a bit shitty by now.

mabee there is still air in the lines. braided lines are always good in my opinion. or mabee master cylinder could do with a revamp.
