So the other day riding from Malpas to Crosskeys i see oil on Risca Road which was there when i returned home thought i'd missed the worst and got away.

Then on the way home from work friday from Ponthir to Malpas there was oil track all the way home.

Then on Newport Road in cardiff there was even more oil (and absoultly chucking it down) yesterday.

Is there anything you can do about leaking oil on the roads or not?

Isn't it just the rains causing the oil that have built up over the days/weeks/months to float off? It should wash off with more rain as we go into winter (replaced no doubt with black ice). Sad

If you think Newport road is bad in Cardiff then try Albany road! Albany road is sooo slippy, I got fed up going down there in the wet constantly struggling to stop the rear wheel spinning up. I've now changed to Newport road and it seems so much better! Unfortunately Cardiff roads are terrible - there are sooo many main roads where the tarmac has not only delaminated once, but two or three times.

At the moment this heavy rain has been doing a great job of cleaning the oil off.

Cheers

Dave
