Has a DR350 engine iirc. Supposed to be fairly bombproof in the DR. No idea about the Goose. I assume its in the same state of tune so probably.

Bonny Ricardo had one which snapped a camchain iirc, a couple of other members have them.

I guess that as long as the cam chain tensioner is OK and the cam chain is OK, then it'll be as reliable as the sun rising in the morning.

(this includes the obvious requirement to change the oil and filter and general servicing in reasonable intervals).

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

i think the goose is a fantastic looking machine.. reminds me of old cafe racers Very Happy

the DR engine is reliable, if a little gutless.. plenty of torque from the 350 single tho Smile

I'd have one, if I didn't already have so many bikes Smile

Ah okay then I'll do a proper answer.

Engine is based on the DR350 with a sump (DR uses the frame).
Differences being it has a sixth gear, high compression piston (still takes DR rings) and a different profile camshaft.

Been reliable with me. Sweet handler and a good gearbox. Physically small and narrow. Drop the forks through the yokes 10mm and it falls on it's ear like nothing else. Top end is just over a ton, will sit at 80 on the motorways. Good on fuel. Hard suspension. Uncomfortable I suppose but hasn't stopped me doing 400 miles in a day. (I'm 6ft)

I personally quite like the characteristics of the engine. Fairly revvy for a single. Quite loud with my straight through remus can on. Does sound like a cement mixer however.

Oh, top ends (followers, cam etc) are a known weak point if it's run low on oil. As per DR really.

i second that- handles like a dream, get some decent tyres and youll keep up with most bikes on the corners. just make sure the cam chafts healthy- lots of gooses( or geese) eat their way through the casing and cam shaft. mines run for over a year and recently done 2000 miles in a few weeks, and still runs well. give us a shout if your in need of any parts as i seem to have acquired a few!!
