Some of the stuff going on in our schools really does shock me!
Quote: | A boy aged 10 has been banned from his school dining hall because his packed lunch broke the government's healthy eating guidelines.
The father of Ryan Stupples is protesting after his son was forced to eat in the headmaster's office at Lunsford primary school, Larkfield, Kent, because his lunch contained two snacks, instead of one.
Ryan's lunch consisted of a sandwich, fruit, fromage frais, cake, mini cheese biscuits and a bottle of water. The cake and the biscuits broke the snack limit. They were discovered when a teacher checked his lunch box.
Michael Stupples, 41, said: "What 10-year-old boy won't get upset when he's out of a dining hall in front of everyone and made to eat his lunch in the head teacher's office?"
Malcolm Goddard, the headmaster, said: "We take healthy eating very seriously and everyone is aware of our new policies." |
Checked his Mofo'ing lunch box?!?! What the hell?!
It won't be long before it gets like Equilibrium, with Gammaton Clerics encouraging children to inform on their parents' habits at home! ____________________ >Soultrader Mister James, I bet you are a copper

It's really getting beyoned a joke now but far too many aren't prepared to stand up and say enough of this bollocks.
I'm waiting for the day one of my kid's comes home after having their lunch boxes checked, I think after the last time I was at the school they won't be too happy to see me. ____________________ 02 Firestorm. |

I remember that my brother's primary school banned children from bringing and eating crisps for lunch in their lunch boxes because "the crisps make a mess"
Very stupid indeed. |

Yea, let kids eat what the advertisers want to sell them they want to eat. I mean freedom of expression how dare they prevent indivduals from choosing what they eat, after all it's an indivduals /right/ to weigh treble what everyone else does!
Or so says his parents...

I don't actually think this is a good way of making people 'healthy'. However all the good ways I can think of involve parents having some discipline with their kids and not feeding them 'bad for you' snacks all the time.
Ok, it's not a problem for all, but it is an ever-increasing problem in the UK.

So, did you offer to go and clean up after 100 kids dropped bits of crisps on the floor? Or to pay a cleaner to come in and do it?
Scampypants:
I suspect partly a result of the current teaching models used by the government, etc: They let you check and miss out lesson time, kids don't learn what's prescribed in the prescibed time, get worse marks and their school doesn't get as much funding, etc.
Oh and Mister James, I believe tht there have been cases of encourage children to inform on their parents at home - on stuff like drugs etc. |
