Sore neck at times!:(

Hi this might sound strange but for some silly reason i have been getting a ache down one side of my neck,im trying to figure out what it could be,ive just changed monitors on my pc(old style to new tft one)and not sure if it coud be that or the fact that ive been a bit stressfull the last couple of months what with going through a divorce,gf having a baby 6 months ago etc....

any advise would be good

Stress is a factor, and so is a bad posture. I'm currently seeing a chiropractor, as what started as a tight spot in my shoulder has progressed to the loss of feeling in my index and middle finger on my left hand. Since starting treatment, it's getting better but it was a long time coming, and won't be solved overnight. Have a chat with your doctor, but don't hold your breath for an NHS chiro, go private. As an indicator, it's about £45 for an initial consultation, then about £30 for each visit. Estimate at the moment for me is abour 6 visits.

I get neck stiffness and pains when I'm stressed. Also when my pillow is to high.

Try sleeping without a pillow, or a thinner pillow?
I had neck pains and slept with two pillows. Got rid of one and they went away.

My GF says I have a bad posture. I'm all for standing up straight but how can I remind myself to do it?

I went to the docs recently about this.

Been having a sore neck right at the base of my skull for a while.. it's been making the muscles on the side of my head twitch and whatnot and gives me headaches.

Doc said my neck was really tense and to take some anti-inflammatorys, did the job
