I spotted today what looks like a rip or jaggered slit in the tyre. It not on top of the tread but in a tread grove if you get me. I investigated and it appears to be all the way to the ply (if the tyres are lined with cord either that or its a thorn) anyway its deep. I defo think its a cut to the ply.

Will this require a new tyre? or can they plug it like a nail.

AM so gutted as its a nearly new tyre Sad

Looks like I have driven through glass tbh as there are a few other bits that I managed to get out.

Thumbs Down

Catherine

Depends on how big the tear is. Only way to find out is to go and get it checked out.

I found out about two small cuts right in the centre tread of my rear tyre the other day... during an MOT. Shocked
Thankfully nowhere near enough to be a problem apparently, but it was put on an advisory note Embarassed

....and this is on a BT45 that's probably got less than 1000 miles on it Rolling Eyes

Heard theyre amazing but don't last long.

Have BT45's on the GS and they're excellent tyres with it seems lots of durability.
