Opinions on this jacket please

Just got this through the door today.
First time in a leather jacket. Bit stiff I might add

Not sure about it, Yes or no? Dose it look too short?

It will be a bit stiff until you wear it in.

It should be fairly short, as long as it doesn't show off the crack of your arse when you're riding it's fine.

Will anyone who says it looks bad get a bitchslapping? It looks good.

Its off a catalog, so you know can be pricey.
Am skint to the bone for the time being so cant go buy from shops which suck.

It depends on how high up you have pulled your jeans!
The trick is to sit on the bike and make sure no flesh is exposed on your back. If it is - too short, if it isn't - then jobs a goodun!

If you want to soften it a bit, dampen the leather and rub some leather condition into it.

This stuff (I got it from Hein Gericke) did a great job on my gloves

I'd look for some trousers to zip into that jacket as it is quite short. About the same length as the jacket that is part of my 2 piece.


As Rookie said, it will feel stiff initially, the leather will stretch and soften as you wear it.

I will have to get them at a later date tho.

I get a very cold back if I don't wear the leather trousers zipped into the jacket... but it depends on your seating position, I don't sit upright so pull the jacket up even further.

It looks absolutely fine, but it all depends on how you feel in it. Is it comfortable? As the others have said, it will start to give a bit and get less stiff once you wear it in. Personally, I would prefer my jacket to be a bit longer as it will ride up your back once you're on the bike, but if you can get a pair of matching trousers to zip it into, it should be fine. Although, be careful it's not too short so that it's straining on the zip when you sit down, as this can make everything feel too tight.

It's a nice looking jacket I think but as said above I think you could do with a bit more length!
You could try the trousers with it but they might have a really long looking ass to reach the jacket

As to jeans, if you can't find jeans that zip to it, and/or would rather wear denim then I would recommend getting some Draggin Jeans. Kevlar lined so you don't gravel rash if you come off, but more importantly being designed for bike use they fit higher up around your waist to keep your waist warmer and not show off any flesh. I've got quite a few jeans/combats now and when off the bike you really wouldn't know they were biking jeans.

Also tucking a long T-shirt in goes a long way to helping keep you warm/preventing showing your rear.

In winter it's all about keeping warm and comfortable. so my tip is this

Buy yourself a kidney belt (usually a fiver from HG or 2 quid from aldi/lidl) and wear it on top of your t-shirt and pull your jeans on top of that.

Wear a fleece/paddock jacket/ hoodie ON TOP of your leathers. You tend to feel just as warm and a little bit more moble because the stiffer layer is beneath the softer wadding therefore less slippage and chafing.

Long johns maybe under your jeans? I do it. Only way to survive if you're out in town in winter. It's leathers for me always 24/7

A slightly looser jacket will allow you to wear an extra layer of clothing underneath and trap warm air, could be better for winter.
