Decided to do a mini road trip to the Yorkshire Dales and back on a sunny saturday afternoon in August (wasn't able to post straight away because of work Rolling Eyes ) But it was a good day, virtually no wind, nice temperature, although it was rather misty/cloudy in the morning it turned out to be a stunning day. I had decided to travel the width of the Yorkshire Dales starting from the East through to West and back again to get home again before it got dark which was relatively easy and suggest everyone does it at some point.

The route which I took was to get on the A1 northbound at Darrington and keep on the A1 although it does change to A1(M) at some points for at least an hour, taking the Bedale (A684) turning and you literally travel the entire width if you stick on the A684. In total it took about 7 hours (at least 2+ hours were motorway journeys) and although it was extremely fun with zero speed camera's, awesome twisties, the sound of bikes throughtout the valleys, I personally thought my cbr400 is not a good motorway mile muncher, at one point I had to get off and pull over onto the hard shoulder and walk around because I had lost total feeling in my lower body, and the pain was distracting me from the road. Whilst I was on the hard shoulder at least half a dozen gixxer bikers rode past, not one giving me the thumbs up or been generous enough to stop by and ask if I needed help(Must be some sort of Anti Honda thing going on with Gixxer riders) Twisted Evil Middle Finger with only one guy on a mint daytona decided to stop and ask if I was ok. (Cheers)

Possible 56k krippler.
