Hi,
Following on from my 'falling off side stand' incident I'm trying to find a replacement generator cover. I've spotted one on Ebay but it's for a G ZX6R, and I've got a J ZX6R.
Physically the G is smooth and has kawasaki stamped on it, the J has a rippled affect.
So, the question is: will the G Model part fit my J Model bike? Secondly, can I re-use the gasket when fitting a new one?
[I've contacted the seller, he rekons it will fit but said to call a Kawasaki dealership to make sure, all they can tell me is that as the part numbers are different they can't be sure the internal gubbins is the same]
Thanks |

As long as the mating surfaces are smooth and grease free then the gasket may be used again (as long as its in good nick to start with ), then again they are only a couple of quid in the 1st place. ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |
