Sooo many tyres to choose from!...

Need some new tyres, have been recomended Diablo's but had a chat to a local garage and he said dont bother now its winter, they wont last nor would i get my moneys worth out of the tyre and go for somthing cheaper but just as grippy during these months.

So, what do you lot recommend? Price to go no more than £200 prefrebly.

My profiles 120/70 and 180/55 if that helps, bikes a CBR 600 F Sport.

I ride everyday, and do a fair few miles commuting to work.

I'm going for conti sport attack front and road attack rear next month, heard good things about them regarding grip and wear... and their cheap as chips. M+P want 149 quid for the set...

I'm another for Conti Road Attacks. Nearly all of us in the North Clique use them now. Much stickier than the other sports touring tyres like the 020. They get around this by having deeper tread so whilst they wear out faster there is more tread to go through. I get around 6000 miles from a set and have pushed them to their max on the Yorkshire TT so can tell you they won't give up however much you throw the bike around

Wet weather performance is also the best i've tried yet.

(ram_doom, you don't need to stick a sports on the front with a road on the rear - A lot of people seem to do this..... but manufacturers are well aware of the different loads the front and back receive, and so use a different compound for the front and rear of the same set - i'e, a road attack front is stickier than a road attack rear)
