Im thinking of getting another bike...Im not exactly sure what. Im kinda thinking practical, and sturdy and more in the style of say an African Twin, more of an upright seating style, and a road bike.

I havent worked out the logistics or money or the sensible things yet, I want to have a look see, test ride and all that sort of thing beforehand.

So if you can think of any suggestions, give me links to pics, I'll be very happy. Ta muchly

You thought about a Honda Transalp or perhaps a Kwak KLR 650?

As said in this thread depending on your height (or get the seat lowered) could go for V-Strom (DL1000) or the Kawasaki KLV1000 (same bike, different badges) - some other info/pics here. They're not current production bikes but both have had good reviews.

There's the Kawasaki KLE. Only 500cc though, not as big as the Africa Twin. I sat on the KLE at the NEC bike show and was surprised how small and narrow it felt. Which was a good thing Thumbs Up Pics here.

Maybe even the Honda Varadero, review/pics here.

Best bet would be to nip down to a dealer and see what fits then work out a test ride(s) to see what feels right.

Just some thoughts. Have fun choosing. HTH Thumbs Up
