Anyone been>? Anyone fancy going>?

I have been looking into offroad biking for a while and im very interested in getting a bit of a taster with tuition to really see if its my thing (and also see if offroad training really will help my road going ability as all the magazines keep banging on about it).

Im looking at going to the Golding Barn Raceway -West Sussex yamaha offroad experience at the end of this month/early October.

Anyone fancy coming along? Its £150 for the day including all the gear, bikes and lunch. https://www.yamaha-schools.co.uk/southeast.html

You get to try all of their bikes throughout the day:

Just wondered if anyone else was in a similar position and needed motivating into having a go.

Excellent!
I was looking at saturday 23rd september or October 7th.

Im happy to delay though to try and get more people involved if you are unable to do these weekends. I will give the school a call to find out what availability and space they have Thumbs Up

October 7th date would probably be the better for me, as the 23rd is the weekend before pay day.

I have asked if this is the case for mid-week slots as well - im happy to take a day off work, i still have 10 days holiday left.

i will let you know when i get a reply. Im absolutely gutted though

OK, i havent let this one go yet lol.

I have been phoning around other schools and i have found that the KTM offroad experience in Devon
https://www.ktmadventuretours.com/frameset_adv.asp?PathStart=
https://www.ktmadventuretours.co.uk/KTMAdvTours.htm
have spaces at the end of october for their indoor enduro track.

The day costs £189 and includes:

Arrow Bikes
Arrow Full day of offroad/enduro tuition (inc berms, tabletop jumps and whoops)
Arrow Lunch
Arrow All gear and insurance
Arrow Full day riding guaranteed as it in their 30,000 SqFt indoor arena.

As its in Devon they have some pretty lush accomodation for £39/night including brekkie.
https://www.ktmadventuretours.co.uk/facilities.asp

If enough of us go, we can also request it to be recorded for video playback in training sessions- this is an extra £10/person but needs a group of at least 8 for the guy to come and do it.

Dates available at the moment are Fri 27th/Sat 28th/Sun29th October.

I think it would be an excellent day and im going to go, hopefully some of you guys are still interested!
Check out the TWO review of the site on the bottom of this webpage as well https://www.ktmadventuretours.co.uk/KTMAdvTours.htm

It's my b-day on the 30th and this sounds like the perfect pressie gift for myself!

Do you know where abouts in Devon the event is?

Regarding liability, am I right in reading that we'd have to give a £250 deposit (swipe of the card)?

Im definitely keen for the saturday. Would be good if we could get some more people interested. I would prob go down on the friday, stay over and leave sat evening.

Im not sure what deposit would be, will have to speak to them about that. I know they will pencil us in and then look at money nearer the date.

ANyone else?!

I've been a few years ago.
Next time I'll take my own kit - the loan stuff is minging.

Goldings Barn is a nice track, tabletop, berms, ruts etc.

You get good tuition too, but not enough ride time IMHO.
