I think the designer has been watching one to many episodes of 'The Prisoner'. I wonder what would happen if you were going down a hilly road at the time or near the edge of a gorge? Smile

I've posted it once and everyone had a laugh back then and everyone's gonna laugh now Thumbs Up

Nice idea, but stupid and unreal even in perfect conditions.

EDIT: Just imagine a situation a guy pulls over on a shiny bike, in front of a pub, like a badass and then getting off the bike ''puff'' and he's roling in that ball down the hill. It'd be cool ad for something Laughing

The triggering mechanism proposed sucks, but I can already imagine a better one linked to crash sensors in the bike itself.

There are even solutions already on the market - https://www.safermoto.com/products/index.html I was going to say the price was prohibitive, but they're already available on ebay for <$300

I imported a Hit-Air airbag vest from the States a few years back for about £150 including duty and Parcel Farce mugging surcharge.

It has the same chest, spine and neck bags as the jackets. They were developed for equestrian use for reasons that, well, see .sig.

It's tether operated, which is fine for horsists, as they don't tend to lowside. I'd have to highside or do some other form of gymnastic dismount to get any benefit.

I'll probably chuck it on eBay soon, I rarely wear it any more because I am of course super 1337 and haz all the m4d 5k33lz now.

Am I the only one thinking that I would go out of my way to crash with that system. Looks like fun.

Well, I think you are, I'd rather go off in standart gear and lot of lads would too. Check some zorbing ball accidents, and there's no chance you fall off the bike and get on well prepared slope for zorbing. That's why it's so stupid, you've got to stop your body and not let it roll through the town Thumbs Up

Funny as most of them are at the moment, they are getting a bit less ridiculous looking

https://www.motostorm.it/en/details.asp?articolo=2194

I wouldn't bother at the moment but if they got a bit less bulky in a few year i'd probably consider one for track/wet weather days to be honest.

Write 'S.W.A.T' on the back of the black one and you might even get away with looking cool Cool

Or just deply it 24/7 and look like a storm trooper Laughing

How many times have you set it off accidentally by getting off..? I refuse to believe this will be zero!
