Good effort, looking really tidy so far. Would love something like that for the green lanes around Derbyshire.

I've just realized. I have never ridden a 2 stroke.

This upsets me.

I'll be interested to see how you go about calibrating the speedo. I have one of those fitted to a scooter. After the speed gets over 40mph, the indicated speed suddenly drops to 10mph and starts climbing up again. Laughing

Does it in MPH and KMH modes.

The bottom one, around £1000 with tax and test with lights. That cost me £900ish. Had just cost me £300 in repairs due to last owner being a wang.

Insurance, added £0 to my policy, run a quote for a 99 KTM 200 EXC worth 900 and see what you get, single bike would cost me £80 to insure TPFT and £110 FC.

TBH, If I wasn't so eager to grab one, I'd have waited for a 300 EXC or to troll Iain, CR250/CR500 Laughing

Well worth it!

He is likely to have Q plate as no proof of age, but should be a doddle with MOT, insurance and tax form done Laughing

Does it in MPH and KMH modes.

The one one I had on my CCM would start showing half the speed, then a third of the speed as you got faster - so it was still fairing easy to work out.
That seemed to be to do with how quickly it registered the magnet - if there's similar issues for yours, the scooter wheel will be turning a lot faster than a 21" dirt wheel for the same speed, so may be less of an issue on the bigger bike.

You can also use a piece of string or tape measure around the wheel, but with knobblies the floor many bemore accurate.

You can buy flexi number plates off ebay that are excellent, I would personally then use a small aluminium bracket or something!! Looks good though, hope you have a van because the worst thing about a small capacity 2 stroke for green laning is getting to the lanes! Nearest ones from me are about 20 miles away and it's hard work getting there without the van.

We have a handful near us, I'm about 1-2 miles from one and can even blast through a park to get there Whistle

Iain is probably looking at a 10 minute ride, maybe 15 to get to the same place, so not too far. Very Happy
