....now to work out route:

https://i1355.photobucket.com/albums/q709/MCW999/Route_zps61a44c26.jpg

I can get to the big fat 1. on the map (am paint virgin, be gentle with me) without turning right. If I go the most direct route I will have to turn right at turnings 3. and 4. However, if I go the long way round, I will only have one right turn, on a roundabout at 5.

So. volunteers please, strategically placed along the route to pick me up as I keel over. If you are first-aid trained, so much the better...

Coming back is going to be much harder. Can anyone see a way of getting back to the big fat 1. without turning left right, or will everyone have to hang on at their turnings for the return journey?

I used to work a stone's throw from 1.

I'm confused, you don't want to turn right on the way there, then you don't want to turn left on the way back.

Obvious route is obvious, take the main road, one right turn there, one left turn back, both at the same roundabout.

OK, that makes more sense.

IIRC, both the right turns on the way back are traffic light controlled, so if you time it right, you'll have a chance to settle before you make the turn and you won't have any oncoming traffic to deal with.

Also, if I may be so bold, why are you even on the road, if you can't make right turns?

If you do not carry out your own servicing or use another local dealer, have a chat with Vince at VP, he does good work and his prices are reasonable.
Turn 3 is a roundabout ( a big corner!!) and Turn 4 is a traffic light controlled junction; no problem.

Would you believe I'm STILL rubbish at playing the saxophone even after 35 years?

I've never tried playing one mind.

Sorry, this post obviously didn't come out as tongue-in-cheek as I meant it to. When I first started riding, I went through a short phase of keeling over if I turned right from a standing hill-start. Had the p taken mercilessly about it.

I just liked the idea of lots of BCF brethren in a supportive role getting me to my destination. Sorry. Embarassed

Make sure you don't put your feet down though; that would be a test fail for slow speed manoeuvres.

Correct technique:

He put his foot down! And I have to confess to being slightly disappointed that he didn't keel over on the right hand ones.... Confused

Fair enough, I got scared by left turns after binning it so I went out and turnt left loads, same with drain covers i nearly crashed hitting one so I kept hitting them until the slight slide was normal.

My advice is go to the MOT by doing the opposite of what you intend.. ONLY turn right.**
