^^^Agree, I'm liking the look of that pallet. Note how they used 3 fixings on each corner and two for the rest. Totally over engineered.

[edit] I don't know how I missed it but Wow! Titanium strips on the pallet base. Those Chinese have really raised the bar.

Hah, nearly bought one myself last week, perhaps I should have and we could've had a race Very Happy

£720 when I was looking.

Edit: down to £610 now, could be the bargain of the year.

Lots to do; I'm not just chucking it together, I want to thread lock, waxoil etc and paint the side panels to match. Probably chuck the Metzeler me22's I have on it too.

Now that's pallet porn.

Garth, I'll give you three and a half chocolate buttons for that pallet. Can also throw in a Curly Wurly if interested? Thumbs Up

I'm on a computer now so I can give a bit more info.

The bike is from Riders Yeovil. It was £610 in the crate, plus delivery of £85. I've got to register it (£55) and tax it, and get a numberplate when the V5 comes through, also insure it from the chassis number in order to register it.

It's a 110cc 3 speed with electric start, a larger front drum and wider rear wheel than a C90. They do a single seat with a rack or a twin bench seat, I wanted a single seat so I can fit luggage. This bike is taking me from Le Havre - Catalunya in June for the GP.

It looks pretty well built.

Ha, I'm at Cadwell on the 26th doing an eight hour endurance race on a C90, 57 bike grid. Free spectator entry if anyone wants to watch. My team is number 8, white C90 with a Lifan 110 engine in.

Obviously the expectation will be fairly low, given the purchase price, but what does the quality look like, especially compared to the Honda original?

Pretty good so far to be honest, the only obvious downfall I can see is that the wiring needs more protection from rubbing against the frame in places - For the money, and given what cubs are going for recently, you can't really lose. No mot for three years either Smile

I've got some Honda stickers like the blue bike in the background (incidentally on ebay if anyone wants a project) to smarten it up a bit.

I'll try and do a bit more to it this evening.

I'd be interested if you had any issues with insurance as it's not a 'brand' bike and not registered. Also how much insurance as if too much then what's the point?

Thumbs Up interesting post.

You got the best colour choice by the look of it, thought the gold would be cool but having seen a picture I think the red is best.

Insurance is £79 for a year, the brand is "Super" Laughing and the model KN110A-7 or something, confused list it on the comparison site.

Garth, is that insurance from the frame number or if it's registered?
I've got a thread open asking about bikes for winter, might be interested in one of these if I can get it prepped fast enough!

I haven't registered it yet, I just ran a quote and left the reg out. I'll phone the insurers up when I come to do so, just use the quote provided and explain the situation.

They'll issue a cover note with the frame number, once my V5 comes through I'll advise them of the reg, AFAIK.
