Well, its not like he is going to get 'last years engine' is it.
So he will be using the same Ducati 800cc motor as the factory guys, only without factory support. And at a guess, possibly a new 07 chassis too to house the new engine as its unlikely to fit in an old chassis. Remember its a totally new engine, and not just a sleved down version of the old one, so would either need a new chassis or alot of modifications to the old chassis.
So, as to your first post Silver, cant really have any left over parts (or last years) from a brand new engine.
I'd say there was a good reason for the decision.
By the way, I'm only guessing what I've written above, but its a good guess dont you think??

Oh yeah I completely agree, I think he will get the basic 'factory' kit, but not the support or the development.
Even Checca got the new Yam frame halfway through last year but Ellison had to make do with the one that 'didn't work', which was a bit of a shame. ____________________ ZXR750R (M2) - For the road.
