When a 98 R1 starts up, the sheer torque of the bike rotates the earth under the wheel in the direction the rider would like to go thus taking him to his chosen location.

You know that close quarters footage of Thrust SSC, taken from a 98 R1 camera bike (didn't show the bit of the R1 overtaking it though).

A 98 R1 did a 1/4 mile on a drag strip, but doesn't hold the fastest time ever recorded, because the timer doesn't have an increment small enough for it.

When a 98 R1 is started in the UK, it registers on seismometers in Japan.

The '98 R1 was actually manufactured in 3067 but when taken for a top speed run the test rider stoppe back in 1998.

The top speed ever recorded, was done by a 98 R1.

This was estimated to be infinity x 2 miles per second.

It was so slow because the rider was doing a backwards stoppie at the time.
