Kinda like the Mr T and Chuck Norris type facts.

I will start, please add your own. Thumbs Up

Arrow When a 98 R1 starts up, the sheer torque of the bike rotates the earth under the wheel in the direction the rider would like to go thus taking him to his chosen location.

If a 98 R1 hits the side of a petrol tanker at its top speed it will not cause any explosion. The speed is so immense it simply passes through and leaves a hole in the tanker and comes out the other side.

The 98 R1 creates enough energy from a full tank of petrol to power New York for 8 weeks.

98 R1's were not made in a factory, they appeared under a wondering star in the night sky.

Arrow Don't ever try and follow a 98 R1, those sonic booms are amazingly powerful.

Arrow You know that close quarters footage of Thrust SSC, taken from a 98 R1 camera bike (didn't show the bit of the R1 overtaking it though).

Arrow On October 15, 1997, ThrustSSC reached a speed of 1,227 km/h (763 mph) and became the first land vehicle to break the sound barrier, at a cost of hundreds of thousands of pounds. Richard Noble could be seen kicking himself a year later when he realised he could have done it for ten grand on a 98 R1.

Arrow 98 R1s are banned from all forms of racing in order to give other people a chance.

NASA are using a '98 R1 to power their next space mission, a trip to the end of the universe, it is expected the shuttle will return within 5 working days.

Arrow It was once a common misconception that the '98 R1 was the most pant wetting, adrenaline pumping, arm wrenching bike possible. Until the '03 GSX-R750 came along.

(not sure I've got the hang of this... Laughing )

Rossi was given a '98 R1 to race on this season, he declined to use the bike proclaiming it wasn't fair on the competition.

Mr T has a 98 R1.

People think it is black because, like Mr T, the sun is too afraid to shine on it.

But really, it is so fast, the suns light cannot catch up with it.

A 98 R1 can ride around the world. Twice. In 6 seconds.

A 98 R1 did a 1/4 mile on a drag strip, but doesn't hold the fastest time ever recorded, because the timer doesn't have an increment small enough for it.

When a 98 R1 is started in the UK, it registers on seismometers in Japan.

a 98 R1 is more agile than a modern fighter plane, and has more torque, and the slightest twist of the throttle...

According to colin wall, a 98 R1 moves when you twist the throttle.

The top speed ever recorded, was done by a 98 R1.

This was estimated to be infinity x 2 miles per second.

It was so slow because the rider was doing a backwards stoppie at the time.

98 R1's only stop long enough to make it look like they are refuling. In fact they run off a nuclear reactor, supplying enough energy to run for 1 million years at full revs!
