depending on wor u have 2 do, i have never messed with a geared bike before and i fitted a hole nsr enghine by my self, had 2 fit a top end 2 it as well and i changed the fork seals as well, its hard working on an nsr as u need 2 find a way off balenceing the bike depending on wot u doing, if u takeing out the enghine u will need a back pad dock stand. if u takeing the forks off u will need a back paddock stand and a jack ect

Can't really get much easier to be honest. Thumbs Up
Fairings are expensive. Thumbs Down
Usually find most parts on ebay if you're fixing it on the cheap. Dave Silver can probably supply parts next day.

yep pannels r expencive new. i paid £20 +vat plus p+p for the small inspection pannel for my nsr from dave silver. but it dont look nice with out it.
if u got the time its an easy job realy but it also depends if its the jc20 or the jc22 and theres hardly any parts for the jc20 the old style nsr but theres loads for the new shape one

go for a JC22 (after 1993) with UK or IT specs . ask the serial number and look if it begins by ZDCJC22A or ZDCJC22C , reject others because it's a costly process to de-restrict those . do not be attract by 2003 or 2004 models because they are all 2001 models . look the mileage and think about this : this bike needs de-carbonizing every 7500 miles , with 7500 rings change 15000 piston-rings change . ask the bills if seller has done it .

I doubt that you will fnd any decent NSR for £400, not even a NS125R (old version)

Best bet would be to get a CG then, they arent expensive, and go forever.

With £400 you whould be able to get one that is less than 10 years old. Dont get a field bike as it may not pass the MOT.

Ill be selling my ns125r soon, after the mot in june, spent about £250 on it, and paid £600 for it 6 months ago.

Probably let it go for £500.

This is to pay for my full test, and a wicked powerband!!

None yet, will use that money to pass das, then save up for a bike.

Which will take about 3 months saving, hoping to get a cbr600.
