Hi all. Just talking to my mate on MSN and hear what I am doing on my pc, e.g. if I play a song on the PC, he will be able to hear it through the mic. HE can also hear himself, sometimes in a robotic voice. Tried re-booting but it's the same, any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Your speakers might be a bit loud, and they are probably being picked up by the mic.

I had this problem a few times, can't remember what I did. But try a headset mic.

Ok, but you never stated that in your post.

It may be your/his internet connection or your/his soundcard might be a bit on the crap side.

I don't know, I'm trying to help but I'm no whizz at MSN.

some pc's sound cards have a 'sum' function whereby all signals on the soundbus get mixed to the outputs, either you or your friend have got this function turned on, if youve both got you will set up a loop wherby stuff just zoomes around getting feinter, double click your speaker icon in sytem tray, click options advanced controls 'on' then go into options/properties, recording and look for 'sum' or 'mix' either turn it down or uncheck it. hope this helps

It was something to do with what you said WavyGravy. I noticed it last night thankfully. It was driving me mad!
