I'm looking for a cheap place to register a .com name and direct it to my server, can you still get them cheap from eBay? I can remember registering the odd few names a while a go really cheap from eBay but can't seem to find them again.

£4.00 with www.Godaddy.com And that's not including the discount code (Think it's 'USA6') So will be about £3.00 for the year.

It's one of the best and it's American so you get everything half price Smile I used to sell domains & it hasn't let me down for the past couple of years. Also easy to manage the domains.

I use www.123-reg.co.uk, I've always found them to be reliable - though it seems they're comparatively expensive (£8.99/year).

Shocked I entered the code in and it went up from $7.20 to $9.20 and I can't get it back to $7.50 now Sad

Is that definitely the right code?

yay, registered my domain name, can anyone remember how you get a domain redirected onto another server hosted by someone else? which is it you contact to do it?

it's been about 2 years since I set up a domain, last time I just set up a folder on the hosting peoples server and had the domain name point to that folder.

I seem to remember something about dns settings but I can't find them on godaddy?

Go to 'Manage domains' then tick the domain you want to forward then click on 'set nameservers'

You will see on the right that you need to type in where you want to forward them.

Hope that helps.
