Its nice in summer but the rest of the year when shitspredding extends to the roads from helpfull farmers and gangs of caravans driveing at 3mph down windy country lanes on bank hollidays... Evil or Very Mad

Don't think i'd want to ride anywhere else everyday though, scotland woudl be cool but too much snow for my likeing :/

ges i live in a pritty good erea... southwest scotland Thumbs Up we hardly ever get snow this far south...

live rite next to newgaloway (like a small version of the lake district) go north iv got sum roads up in the borders.. then 50mile south i have the top of the lake district an yorskshire dales...

onlydownside the only track within a 100mile is knockhill.

no speed camras hardly any police vans at the side of the road, and dumfries and galoway only have two police bikers... so your pritty much free to ride at what ever speed u want without having to worry.

foreverything else but riding a bike is is gash. Thumbs Down

Yorkshire and Derbyshire have far too many 40mph limits to make them all that good for biking. Derbyshire especially.

Too true, but knowing the local roads and where and where not to go theres plenty of great routes nowhere near the things... same with anywhere really personally if i'm out for a propper ride i'll tend to take the iffy sideroads and just point in the general direction of where i'm going.. more fun that way
