I do the Mon-Fri, 9-5.

In the evenings I work for NABD. Usually a couple of hours every evening, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Telly happens late at night, when I need to switch my mind off.

Cheers,

Byrnie.

It's crap isn't it!

Is it wrong to feel like I want more from life than just living for the weekend?

no its not, but have to earn money somehow and your in the same boat as everyone else, im struggling with this at the moment, as going from a navy routine to a normal 9-5 (or in my case 6.30 - 5) really doesnt leave any time to do anything with your evenings

in the navy i was used to too much time, but i was just miserable cos all i was waiting for was the weekend, so i could get back down south to home, and do what i wanted. so had all the time in the world in the evenings to do what i wanted (to a degree didnt have my bike or net up there so was pretty boring) but never actually did anything with it

think its better how it is at the moment, even though i cant really do a lot with what little spare time i have in the evening

have to be up about 5.45 in order to get to work for 6.30-6.45 its a physical job which i really havent adjusted to yet so im always nackered, therefore like to get as much sleep as possible, to get 7 hours i have to be asleep by 11, to get 8 ideally need to be asleep by 10, dont get home till 5.30-6 so thats 4 hours to do as i want, and in that time ive got to feed myself, soak aching body in the bath for a bit and clean the crap off, and make a lunch for tomorrow

leaves about 2 hours of which im too nackered to do anything anyway, so just flump on sofa, and read or watch tv

so, as i said, im struggling with it at the moment, as its a bit depressing, but it beats the shit out of being in the forces ten times over! and when im at work im actually enjoying myself! and i get to come home to where i want to be every single night! so just need to consider that as my fun for the day, and the evenings are all about chilling out

Likewise do the work routine, 8.30 til 5. come home dinner on table, duel with obnoxious teenager with attitude and daughter who wants to draw manga cartoons all the time.

The wife has absolutely no interest in bikes whatsoever. Usually watch the footy if its on TV, trawl the Arsenal websites.

Although a couple of years ago I was quite freindly with a Thai girl, although the wife didn't approve for some reason though! So I've had me mid life crisis now Thumbs Up Wink

I have hobby shed where I build models and draw cartoon characters of people and bikes.

And I eat when I'm bored!

Monday evening I'm usually having a tidy, or some DIY (still not finished the kitchen)
Tuesday evening sees me at the Riverside chippy in godmanchester with a bunch of other bikes
Wednesday eve I usually go over to see my gf
Thursday eve I catch up on washing etc
Friday eve I pick up my gf from work, if she's working late (1 - 3am) then I get a chance to relax.

Weekends we usually do something, go somewhere

I have NO time for ANYTHING

Depends really, I would suggest hobby’s etc but you might not have the money or the time.
Through my week I get a lot of people coming around the flat, usually for one thing only and then they stay for ages and have a smoke.
If I had the time and money, through the week I’d catch up on films that I haven’t seen.
I don’t do much Monday evenings, Tuesday is the pub quiz, Wednesday I try to go do some Drum and Bass production, Thursday’s is a good day to do something different and Friday is always a late one…..

You do know Big Brother is on, don't you?

Get home and watch that until 2 am. Done.

I bought a few electronic kits from Maplins last weekend. Was fucking annoying, don't bother doing that.

I feel the same a lot of the time. I have two children so my routine is take them home, cook their tea, run them a bath, story, bed by 7:30 latest. But then i'm stuck for what to do by myself. My friend lives with me, and the idea was that she stayed pretty much rent free (she pays £100 pm for everything and my rent alone is £750) so that we could have girly nights in etc and she could keep me company. She comes home from work gets changed and I don't see her again really until the next day. She babysits for me on a Thursday, but I don't end up doing much. Kiddies are away every other weekend so I'm on the bikes all weekend then and when they're here we have takeaways and dvd's which is great. But sometimes i want...more. More than just net, feel knackered, bed by 10 wake up and start over. So you're not alone toby. But hey, atleast i have you guys Laughing Laughing

Tuesday is her brownies night, Thursdays is my TKD night and the other 2 nights consist of housework and washing. In between that I do the dinner and bath the kids. and breathe...... Laughing

Got a usual bowling night on Wednesdays.

Other nights spent footering about with bikes, playing cs, watching films (no tv). Do more and more ebaying these days too so have to reply to the f*ckwits that keep asking the daft questions "here mate, does this fit a zx6r" when I clearly state in the auciton "50mm connection ,- fits most bikes, go check yours for compatability"

That's the exciting life of me.

Edit also my job is doing my head in. Usualy by myself in a huge building and very rarely have work.

Its good in a way because i get paids shit loads to watch do not a lot.

A typical week would involve about 5 hours work so the rest of the time im on the internet or watching films, but i want something more to do.

Doing what im doing makes me really lazy so i can rarely be bothered to do anything anymore either.

I get home from work watch neighbours Embarassed and stuff my face with cheese on toast.

Then sometimes come on here for a while or sneak onto the pitch and putt golf course with some mates for an hour or so.

As I live with a bunch of students we usually head down the pubs for the rest of the evening.

When I get home from work I make tea and do some housework, before going to job # 2, (part time youth worker), or interviewing people (job # 3) or if it's a Thursday I meet my best mate for a drink.

When I'm not working in my free time, I spend time with McJam, watch a DVD, go on the net, or just catch up with housework. Embarassed
