Has anyone ever had any dealings with Budget Bikes in Swindon? If so are they any good?

Thinking about taking a trip up there on sunday to have a look at a few bikes they've got there, seem to be good value.

Any info would be appreciated, thanks guys

I have had a look, the bieks seem to be very tatty up there though. But I reckon that with a clean up most I saw would be good condition.

Wouldnt get a bike from them without a service history and a recent service done. They are a very small shop and are exactly a budget shop.

Can find some good cheap deals in there, just have to hope the bike you wanna look at has the history. Because looking at them in the shop you wouldnt think that they have been well looked after!

If you're getting a bike 'serviced' from the place you're buying it, do be careful, whatever the shop.
I'd say 90% of the times I've seen people getting this, the serving has been poor, or missed fairly important stuff out.

Or they just stamp the book. Saves the workers labour and they get a free service with more of an incentive for the buyer.

I live in swindon so I go past there a lot. While they do seem reasonably priced some also look tatty. Obviously if you know about bikes you should be able to tell the difference between a good and bad bike.

While you're there pop down the road a little to george whites (not the honda one opposite), They have some quality second hand motors and are very professional.

Hopefully you find something you like and its in good condition at a reasonable price.

Where abouts are you coming from?

i went there today, they were alright if a little scruffy. I liked the nsr they had there, but its a bit pricey at £1900.

george whites are very good, I just bought myself a pair of boots from there, great bikes and great help.

I'm travelling from South Wales so not just down the road but not a million mile trek either! Don't want to travel there and they're all just heaps of sh*te.

Don't spose any of you noticed if the zx6r, r6 or cbr600 were any good?

Thanks for all the help by the way Thumbs Up

they have a lot of bikes george whites couldnt shift then they put the price up but you didnt hear it from me, all the bikes there are a bit tatty but they take em to the garage i go to so i know the work done on em is top notch, i would take a real inspection to know for the bikes u wana look at as theyre all in individual conditions, dont think i would buy there tho.
