Does anyone who lives in or around Lincoln have a chain splitter/riveter I could borrow? I need one for Saturday.

For chain splitting I use an angle grinder.

Then to re-attach, I squeeze it on with mole grips or similar and take it to a garage to get it properly rivveted.

Might be a start if you specified what kind of rivet your chain has?

Never replaced a chain before but it looks like a press fit link with open rivets? Embarassed

Yeah its with the R, cant remeber what/if he charged but i did spend quite a bit with him at the time. Have you allready got a new chain? the other option is to take it to Phill Kay £35 an hour.
