tobyR is about 6'5 and can ride a CG125
BWFC is 6'2ish and can ride a CBR125

but I reckon cus its different and since the roads are dead shagged everywhere I seem to go a city fly would be a good choice.

the wheels being spoked aren't such an issue these days either as somebody designed a technique to put tubeless tyres on trailie wheels.

Dt125, good for tall people and would be much more fun than a city fly

Well if you want some thing a bit differant i wouldnt go for the city fly, its just an average commuter bike. The dt will be faster and in my opinion is a better looking bike.

That one is the DT125X?, which is the supermoto version. They're not common, if you're looking to buy second-hand. But I vote for the DT as well.

I love 'em, and they're very big, but they're 4 stroke so they won't have the thrill factor of the DT. But it would make a good commuter.

Im 6'2", and i could get on with a CG125 for 50miles or so at a time. It did hurt my back a bit, but thats probably because i used to sometimes ride it for 2hrs at a time or something daft like that!

If your after a Trailie, then the cheapest and most common secondhand 125's have to be the KMX and DT. They are both as good as each other, and very reliable and tough bikes, as well as being alot of fun too! There are a few others you might see secondhand like the XLR125, TS125R, KDX125 etc. There's nothing wrong with a four stroke 125, if it's a good one, but most trail bike 125's with four stroke engines have limited performance.

The exception may be bikes like the MZ125, and a few other 15bhp models. You could always look for a streetbike or supermoto 125, as these are still good for tall folks and much better suited to purely road use than a trailie.

As well as the Varardo, there's the Yamaha TDR125, XTR125SM, Cagiva Supercity, and other more pricey stuff like the Husky SM125, Aprilia MX125, KTM Sting, etc.

You'd be much better off staying away from cramped sportsbike 125's and you may or may not find a commuter style 125 to be uncomfy too.

A cheap 5yr old DT or similar is probably the best choice by far, unless you either want to ride 100% on road and for long distances, or you hate trail bikes?

The Varardo and TDR125 are in that case possibly the best value alternatives?

Yeah i had a TDR125 before some little b*stards thieved it Neutral An absolutely smashing bike. Would live forever. Top speed was around 65mph, but the accelleration was enough to get the front wheel up. Very comfy too (im nearly 6ft). Stuck to the road like glue. Fantastic commuter Thumbs Up
