very confused on this one
im going to be a first time rider as im 17 and dont know what to get as my first bike (apart from its got to be sports and fast Very Happy )
some people have said that you can get a 400 and get it restricted down to a 125 to meet spec
but not sure if you can actually do it and is it likely to effect insurance by a lot
any help is greatly welcomed

You don't restrict it down to 125cc, you restrict it down to 33bhp *after you have passed your test*.

If you haven't passed your test, then just get a 125. NSR, RS, Mito, something like that.

Yes, you can restrict any bike down to 33bhp.

Insurance won't be any cheaper than if it was full power though.
