I would suggest a cheap trail style bike:
Something like a dt50, TS50 or MTX50; these take abuse well and have a reasonable riding position. An ok example can be got from around £300-£400.

get a supermoto same a as trial style like the dts etc but with road tryes so its good on the road and if you crash they dont get too badly damaged , dont get a sports style like a rs50 cause if you crash youl lose loads of money when you sell it.

Just get a trail or super moto, stay away from sports bike style bike. Most the 50cc trail bikes are pretty similar, most are similarly relable as they arnt as highly tuned as the sports bikes. Iv got a rieju mrx 50 and its a great little bike.

How much are you looking to spend on a bike? If we know this we will be able to advise you better on what you should get.

Get something like a 4 stroke crosser. You wanna stay clear of two stroke bikes and try getting something new as used 50cc's have often been thrashed by 'speed demons'. If you after a bit of speed just plod about on a 50cc for a year and then upgrade to a fast 125cc

Get some form of crunch, im 16 and i have a suzuki fr50 and i love it and even alot of my mates and others i know also really like it. i think there jealous cos i couldnt give a toss of what people thought of me. But if you are very paranoid of what others think of you, id say get a geared bike, some kind of trials bike. Dont buy a bike of another 16/17yr old as it has bound to have been thrashed and dropped!
