Its a cliff, a very pretty one, people throw themselves off it on a regular basis - a kind of lovers leap.
The GN125 is a small 4 stroke with a 'sit up and beg' style, top speed is probably around 60. It could be tuned by improving its aspiration i.e. porting the head, changing the jets and airfilter but you're still going to be fighting huge air resistance because of your body position and bikes modified in this way are a pig to drive around town. So you'd also need to fabricate a frame from scratch. also you'd need to remap the ignition curve in the ignition unit and probably reprofile the camshaft, at which stage the whole thing is liable to go bang.
Unless you know to the contrary your bike is not restricted as it doesnt need to be in order to comply with UK learner laws. The cost of tuning your bike would be more than the cost of a second hand sports125, with no guarantee of success. Ive got the 250 version of your bike, enjoy it for what it is, an old style bike with lots of shiny bits, reliable as hell, good electrics good fuel consumption ____________________ 1975 CB125s, 1991 GN250, 1990 Ducati Paso 906
