Well, I finally did it!

Further to me Asking a load of questions, and then wasting my money on a CBT I didn't do, I've managed to get my start in biking sorted.

I bought a 2001 RS125R this weekend from Raceways in Fleetwood, black and yellow colour scheme, lovely looker, no damage... £1700. Managed to play insurance companies off against each other and get a final quote of £575 (18 years old, no prior insurance, bad area), and then set aside a further £300 for Helmet, gloves, jacket & chain. Had them throw me in a free CBT course.

It's all looking good Mr. Green

Getting picked up tomorrow to do the CBT near the dealership, and proceed to ride home on my bike.

Bloody hell that insurance is cheap. I am 16 and checked out how much it would cost to insure a rs125. So far I have not had a quote under a £1000.

Yer, im getting quotes at the moment, One i got down at a nice £270 from someone i cant remember Rolling Eyes

but it was TPO because i paid £550 for my bike they have a £500 excess which i would have to pay, so i would only end up getting £50 from them, when i would be paying alot more on insurance.

So, that's why im only looking at TPO ...

£150 is cheap, I had £300 compulsory excess on my 50cc so dont complain.

internet quoted me 1200 tpft on my CBF500 and in the end i got it for 750 tpft. Only 17 aswell, was expecting it to be like 1500 TPO lol
