Should i buy a 2nd hand ART stainless steel exhaust for my 1995 CBR 600. It already has stainless stell front pipes, with a standard mild steel end can, so a stainless one would finish it off!

Its around £85, and does anyone know if ART are any good???

Your input would be of great help.....

Forget the can, that is a nice cbr!

As for ART, Ride tested em and they came out almost as good as micron, but a third the price, but then Ive heard bad things about em as well from a coupla peeps that have bought em.
Apparently they dont last too well in the rain, the fasteners aint stainless!(apparantly) :-?

ART aint got the best build quality apparently. If i was to buy a can i would probably go for quill, loud, guarented and BRITISH. But my bike came with a micron so i guess i'll be sticking with them.

A mate of mine has got the same model CBR but in dream machine colours, very nice bike..lovely sound even with the standard can on

not too bothered about the rusting properties of the zorst, as i can repair or improve it at work, be a sheet metal worker. Dont say make your own then, 'cos i cant get the materials needed for the internals of the exhuast (and its easier to buy one) but if it does fail i can redo the outside easy enough.

Stew ur a flash git aint u???

And has everyone been voting???????

My mate stew is going to super impose the zorst onto a picture of my bike to see wot it looks like, which should be good.

OK, keep up the good work.

Ime worried about gettting an illegal exhaust for my bike as if i crash into something then the scummy insurance company i a am with are bound to say that my insurance is invalidated, remember it is illegal, but hey, if i was then the art can is probably one of the best at the BEST price.

My mates dad has a CBR6 1998 R reg, he had a hole in his downpipes and bought some more standard downpipes, put em on and realised it was actually a problem with the can. He bought a Micron can, plain round, think its just alloy, defo not titanium, and it sounds so much sweeter, and he is getting it jetted next week, and the mechanic says he will gain a few hp, well worth it if you ask me. 8)

As it stands the votes are 50/50, and i think it looks loads better than the original can. I also have a new idea, its a donation appeal..... please donate all cash to the Art Can Foundation (ACF) to the address below....

Your donations are much appreciated.............. Very Happy

My dad had a Quill on his old CBR6...Aside from which can you get it does make the bike better for it. Theres a flat spot at 5k revs and puttin a can on it helps get rid of that..Sounds alot better too Razz

My bike came with an Art can as well as the original. I haven't put it on yet as I'm trying not to attract too much attention to how fast I'm going :) .
The previous owner took it off becasue it kept setting off his neighbours car alarm!.. I've heard from other sources it's really loud as well.

I'll probably put it on for trackdays, but it doesn't particularly bother me on the road.
