I don't know what to say Hon. In my opinion, if my partner cheated on me, there would be no going back. I just wouldn't be able to forget what he did, and it would always be there driving a wedge between us.

Maybe that's what happening for you? It's hard to comment because no one knows the situation, you, or your partner like you do. Maybe what he is doing is innocent, maybe you are being a bit paranoid, but that does not change the fact that he is the one that made you feel that way. To be honest I think you are well within your rights to have a problem with it. His behaviour put you in the situation you are in now. It seems to me that he is deeply insecure himself. Hurting you, and making you suspicious is his way of reassuring himself that you feel something for him. You do not want to get caught up in the pattern of he says "Jump" and you say "How high?" If you ignored his flirting, he would probably panic and wonder what was going on.

The question is, do you want to be in a relationship like that? I hate to be so blunt, and I can't imagine how awful this must be for you, but if he has cheated twice, the chances are he is going to do it again. He obviously doesn't appreciate what he has. I think you should get rid of him, and find yourself a guy that is worthy of your love and trust. Someone that will give you stability, and is secure enough to not hurt you, to make them self feel better about thier own issues. Relationships are about balance, and you deserve to find someone who can offer you that. Karma

He's cheated on you twice, dump the bum.

There's no need for it and no excuse for it. It may be hard to begin with, but you will be so much better off. Please Please Please don't say "but I love him" 1) it would seem that it is only one way and 2) They'll ship you off to the Trisha studio before you can blink.

If I found out my g/f ever cheated on me I know that I'd never be able to trust her again, and there is no way I could stay in a relationship like that. I know she feel the same if it happened the other way round.

Summary.

Drop him, then you'll get all the single guys from here sniffing around.

Take your pick. Done. Wink

Men often flirt with women if their girlfriend is ugly and hard to get rid of.

Edit: Just to add, it's ok with you because theres still nookie, he just needs the right woman to pull him out.

Yeah, like everyone seems to be saying he really doesn't seem like great long term material, there are so many issues in your relationship because of him it doesn't stand much chance (not that I'm meaning to sound like a dick, sorry if it comes off odd judging someones relationship on such little knowledge, but you asked for opinions Razz) my ex cheated on me, I didn't find out for 6 months, once I did that was it. I can understand second chances in certain situations but somethings take the piss and you really don't need a guy like that in your life.

Right OK well you've all made me realise a lot of things, like perhaps I shouldn't have put up with the things he's done and won't have it in the future. You've all made me see sense.

Thanks again for everyone's replies, this was an almost completely succesful thread!

Nice to know there are many decent people on here, so thanks. Thumbs Up

You should stab him in the throat, take pictures, then put them on the internet where they will travel the forum universe. See how long it takes for them to get posted here (again) to give the repost tossers something to do. Thumbs Up

The best thing to do is to sit down with him and tell him how you feel and get him to do the same. Have you thought that it could also be the other way around and he's feeling that you are not paying him enough attention?. In a situation like that he may be trying to make you feel jealous and flirting with other girls is a very easy way of doing this. Perhaps you spend to much time with your bikes and not him, or he feels he just can't compete/ talk on equal terms when bikes are the conversational subject.

Naturally there will be exceptions, but it's generally guys who become much more attached to girls when it's still a young-persons relationship. At this stage girls find it much easier to drop a boyfriend than guys find to drop a girlfriend.

Hes cheated on you twice that you know about and he still flirting with other girls in front of you Confused you need to wake up and start smelling that rat stink emitting out of his every orifice.

Once would be slightly forgiveable if he was genuinely sorry and you both really wanted it to work, but it wasn't once and he is making a complete tit out of you.

Go and get yourself someone deserving Thumbs Up

Sorry for being really harsh, but don't take what i said to heart i was just explaining it quickly, i don't even know what you look like so i didnt directt he 'ugly' comment at you.

In a young relasionship it can often be hard to let go of one another because you've been through so much and you feel secure you have a friend, so to speak.

But he wants flirty women action, and you're not a mug, so get rid of him and find a real man.

Wink Thumbs Up

Actually, just read Hellkat's reply in Jon B's post. That quote, "the past is for losers, the future's for the brave" is awesome. Think I might take that on board now.

LOL ... Don't listen to me. I don't even take my own advice. I've been rattling round between two blokes for the last six years Rolling Eyes

My mate who originally quoted me that quote, is frustrated with me, that I can't seem to leave either of them behind and get on with life.

I think the fundamental problem is, many men cannot help themselves and get too wrapped up in the attention they are recieving if its from something with a vagina. Especialy if he's not used to it.
Just because he's a flirt doesn't necessarily mean he's going to play around, however his past history does. If my bloke cheated on me, I don't know how I'd feel, I'd like to think I'd take him back because I love him unconditionally, but then the lack of trust I'd feel would make it unbearable.
Take him on the Jeremy Kyle show, and have it out on there. I fookin' love that program (I know I'm sad) and Good Ol' Jez will probably verbally thrash the living daylights out of him on live tv. Then see how your bloke's laddish mates respect him, once he's been dressed down by a 40 year old on national tv. (I'm only joking btw, though it could be interesting to watch!)
Killa, men don't only flirt if they have ugly girlfriends. I've been accused of being a flirt, but my boyfriend is gorgeous and it's unintentional if I actually do. My ex used to flirt all the time, it prolly had nothing to do with my looks, and more about the fact he was a total scrotum rash. Wink
PM me if you need someone to talk to, I'm always here for some militant feminist style advice Smile

It was meant to be put across in the extreme Liz, I know what you mean, but it sounds like this girl has been having too many if’s and but’s because hes either a good bullshitter or she is too attached. .
So what if he thinks she’s nice looking, she looks like mug cuz he’s flirting too much, and no one is going to give back the time she’s wasting with a prick who’s having it both ways.

Stop touching the shit end of the stick, take the stick and hit his balls.

Hmmmm, point was taken away from Killa (in my estimation) for initial comment but following:

Quote:

Point returned Smile

Take heed Memento; don't get 2 years down the line after staying with someone who never deserved you in the first place and regret it.

Good luck and all the mental strength in the world to ya
