need to feather the clutch for really fast getaways. don't try and use the throttle else you'll end up with the front bouncing all over the place.

a dab of back brake can help if it lifts badly and gets really scary, but only a dab.

On crossers if i really want to set of quick, lean over the front end a little, depending on how pokey your bike is, altho, it can look a little stupid.

I control the front wheel with the back brake. I did try improving my throttle control at first but it can be a bit unpredictable that way.

Dont you have a vfr400? Would've thought it'd be small enough to get your weight over the front and then it wont stand a chance in hell of raising the wheel.

Stupidly high rev's will mess up your launch because either the front wheel comes up and you let off throttle straight away (you dont want to have the front up) or you spin it up (highly unlikley on that 400 unless in the rain).

If you almost came off the back you are reving it like that shat Aprilia you had and dumping the clutch.
The Honda can take it but dont make a habit of it, get your head down and use the clutch control you learnt whilst filtering etc....

Best way is to find your bikes sweet spot the point where you have the most tourqe in the revs, rev to that and let you clutch out slowly, well slow enough not to kangaroo it and you should fly off the line Thumbs Up

You just need to work on your clutch control. We've seen in a video from the RS that it left something to be desired. Practice keeping the revs at 8k or so when you pull off, or wherever the peak in your rev range is. If you can keep it hovering around this area when you pull off, you're going to be approaching the limit of it's acceleration.

Full throttle, as soon as you hit about 14k rpm feed the clutch out as fast as you can. Keep all your weight over the front and it won't come up more than a few inches (unless your doing it going up a hill.)

it will just take you a week or so to get used to the 400 after riding the rs125 for so long.

you can get them off the line quickly with a hand full of revs and a bit of clutch slip.

a 600 sports will have you doing a good impression of a kangaroo as i found out the first time i went out on my thundercat Embarassed
