Just interested to see which are the most popular mobile phone operators that people are using.

I'm pretty sure I was screwed by T-Mobile last time I upgraded my phone (on contract). I was originally on £14/month for 750 off peak minutes, and 50 free text messages. That was a 12 month contract. After about 14 months or so I decided to upgrade my phone from the Nokia 8310 to the Motorola V3, which I managed to get for a £10 charge. Basically the woman on the phone said that with the new contract, I could stay paying £14 a month, but I would be charged 50p a minute to phone customer service, even from my mobile! Or I could pay £16 a month and keep my free (as it should be) calls to customer service. Oh and they increased the contract period from 12 months to 18 months.

If that wasn't bad enough, 8 months later my girlfriend (also on the same T-Mobile tariff as me) decided to upgrade her phone. Although hers is now a Samsung, I'd say it's about the same value as mine was, yet she is still on the 12 month contract, for £14/month with free customer service. How does that work out?!?

Grumble, grumble Neutral

I`m currently running on O2 with a talk 200 package that costs £30 a month, although that`s due to end in the next two months.

We`ve just put one of the drivers on a tariff that gives 1000 free minutes for £65 a month.

Before we did that, he was running £300+ phone bills a month.

I recently swapped from Orange to 3 and I'm really happy with them so far!

I got really fed up with Orange's constantly increasing charges!

I'm with Orange, who I'm just about to phone an berate again. I recently had a call from an Orange promotions agent who offered to save me £25 a month off my bill, give me 120 free extra minutes and 120 texts. Good stuff. Until I logged into my account to look at upgrades and offers and found out they had signed my up to another 12 month contract. This wasn't clearly stated on the phone and I didn't receive any terms and conditions through the post. They agreed to cancel it off after I found out and phoned up, I'm still waiting to see it removed from my account a week later. Beware Greeks baring gifts and all that.

I've been looking at getting a talk talk sim. Most of my family and mates are all on talk talk so it means I get free calls to all of them, and them to me and it works with home phones and mobiles.

I'll see what Vodafone reply to my cancellation letter with first!

What's the customer service like with O2? Mate of mine is with them and said he gets put through to an Asian call center and can't understand a word of it. Thinking of changing to O2 from Orange but I can't be arsed if there's too much of that. I really needed to speak to a Brit with my last problem and wouldn't of stood a chance otherwise.

My G/F is with O2. In the past 6 months they have cocked her bill up 3 times. Each time it's been a bill around £40 and they try to take between £100 and £130 from her account via direct debit.

Each time they say they will pay back the bank charges this has caused her to get, and we are still waiting to see them.

Apart from that they seem OK.

Just called Vodafone asking if they recieved my cancellation letter.

I was asked why I was leaving, so i said i could get a better deal else where.

She basically said pick what deal you want with someone else and call us back and we'll better it!

So, what shall I go for!

Never had a problem with O2, they've always been helpful, and I've never been put thru to an Asian call centre, I've been on contract with them for a few years now, and before that I was using the Genie sim, which was superb! Thumbs Up

Just found a good deal with O2, called Vodafone with it and was told, sorry, no way we can match that. I said Bye!!!

Samsung E900, 200mins 100 texts £30 a month, but the first 6 months are only £1.99 (or first 10 months if i go for a 18 month contract)

A winner me thinks!
