u can use full throttle as long as your clutch control is good??????
how about u try that and then tell us how u got on
due to the torque, short wheel base and stuff
i find that the 1000 cant be launched much above 6000 with any degree of control
the 600k5 i had wud launch at 8000 with clutch slip and cud prob go higher up
400s will launch flat out, as will 250s |

I seen a guy at the lights do it once. He was riding a Suzuki Bandit 1000. So there. .
He was revving it up and the pinned it back, it was screaming like hell, then...green light...he was off! ____________________ If at first you don't succeed.....destroy all evidence that you tried.

Easy way to tell them apart at a quick glance is:
1200 = Black Engine
600 = Silver Engine

A full throttle pull off is possible.
Put a hyabusa in 6th...problem solved ____________________ If you suck on a t*t the movie gets an 18 rating. If you hack the t*t off with an axe it will be PG. |

Slipping the clutch at 5000 rpm is all thats needed, the ZX10R's front wheel goes skyward at around 7,000 rpm, so a lot of weight over the front combined with clutch control and feathering the back brake is needed especially when it hits the power at 10,000 rpm.
Its possible to float the front wheel into 3rd and sometimes 4th on really aggressive starts, that means the front wheel gets back onto terrafirmer between 130 and 150 mph ____________________ My Bikes in order:- Yamaha RXS100 / Suzuki X7 250 / Yamaha RD350LC / Kawasaki

You could pull away at full throttle if you wanted (on any bike)... You would just have to moderate the clutch so that not all of that powered was delivered.
That should be obvious.
Whether or not it's practical or optimal is another matter. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |

it shud be obvious but its not really possible in the real world at all
try it and see
i can launch my rs250 flat out in first and as the clutch is fully out i slip to 2nd so i do know how to launch a bike
with the 1000s u cant, not on a stock wheelbase 1000cc sportsbike
u cud try to moderate it, but by moderating u wud have to release it about 1/10 of a millimetre a second and wud liklely take 20 minutes to get moving
5000-7000 is as much as is possible in reality |

This is what confuses me about the BHP competition. No matter how much power you have there can only be so much until the front lifts. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead
