They can be a bit of an art form and the ones above are what streetfighters are meant to be....but most so call streetfighters are just a sports bike that's been crashed on 3rd party insurance and the owner can't afford to repair/replace fairings etc. So they just remove all front plastics, stick on some straight handlebars and fit a cheap and tacky twin round headlight system... then call it a streetfigher to retain their kudos.

1) The crashed streetfighter: A stacked sports bike with fairings taken off, headlight is replaced and Renthals are put on. Usually stay pretty stock.

2) The up-graded streetfighter: Someone has gotten hold of a Bandit, Hornet etc and upgraded it to, sometimes just for the look but hopefully with engine and suspension mods.

3) The 'proper' streetfighter: A project/idea born out of creativity. May use parts from crashed bikes (not always sports) but it's about creating something different, unique and involves some serious 'one-off' mods. Stink's mates seem to be into creating these sorts of bikes, they are not just the bizarre creations seen above.

3) The ready-made streetfighter: The Tuono, TNT, Kwak Z750/1000 etc. Difficult really as sometimes they are made of of budget parts of stuff from the parts bin (e.g. my Z750's suspension) but in the case of the Tuono and TNT they have some pretty top-notch parts.

There's probably dozens of ways you can define them, but hopefully this'll shed a bit more light on them.

Where's that exhaust coming from/going to? Question

Looks like it's part of the frame/swing arm...
