I can see the funny side now, so thought i'd share my little "moment" today...

Had a lesson today, and as it was so hot i didn't wear my cold killer and slightly unzipped my leathers. Going down a nsl road and i suddenly feel something fly into my leathers and start buzzing around. Now i'm a bit of a squeeler when it comes to wasps, and normally start flapping about, well i convinced myself it was a wasp and started beating my chest with one hand while trying to negotiate a left hand bend. Felt something bite me so pulled over, jumped off the bike, unzipped my leathers and emptied the damn thing out of them, only to realise i'd done it on a busy road and had flashed the whole of lichfield! Poor instructor still hasn't gotten over the shock!!! And it wasn't even a wasp, it was apparently a masonry bee whatever that is Doh!

So, apart from NOT unzipping my leathers ever again, is there anyway to keep the little bstrds away when im riding?????

Puts the shits up you doesn;t it? I haven't found a way of deterring the little kamikazes.

one wasp once deflected off my jacket and into my lid, at which point i went crosseyed focusing on it, and blew it as if to say "SHOOOOOOOOOOOO!". I then saw the black and yellow bands, flipped my visor up, signalled left, and came to a stop on the pavement, all one handed, as i actually managed to get my helmet off before i stopped! Friggin' frightening!

I can't quite get my head around what happened, perhaps a crimewatch style reconstruction would help. Anyone got a camera? https://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b10/ze_liza/Random%20crap/Smilies/eyebrows.gif

I had a strapless top under my leathers, but pulled it down to get the little bstrd out as i'd hit him but he was still wiggling. Happened so quick, i never even thought...then i realised, so embarrasing...everyone else thought it was hilarious, my instructor said he just wished he'd had his camera for the wall of fame.

Sorry to spoil that for you, should have just lied about being naked shouldn't i? Sorry lads!

Man,

Ive always heard people saying "Meh ignore the kids" and "wait for the onslaught of replies now its a girl" etc... Never realy took much notice as its pretty much what happens in real life...

But as soon as a lasses chest is mentioned its like a swarm...

Im only 18 myself, but IMO thats old enough to tell you lot to quit your lame ass perving. Its the fecking internet lads...

Do a search for porn on here, im sure theres more than enough to satisfy your needs, and grow up, jesus Rolling Eyes

Back OT:

When i wore a tight leather jacket, i foudn the only way to get wind into them was to get some speed up, which of course isnt usefull around town...

If you wear a sleevless top under your leathers, then you can unzip the top section of your leathers somewhat and the wasps and that wont tend to go in...

A cool tip is:

Unzip your leathers before you set off - do this before you start riding because you have to hands free to do the following:

When you have unzipped to your desired length, grab the collars of your leathers, left colar in the left hand and vice versa.. then pull them back as if your trying to show off your shoulders, and then tuck the collars in, underneath your leathers... then push the leathers back down on you. That way you ahve yoru leathers undone enough to get air through, but because they are rolled under, there is almost like a wall, so no wasps can actually get into your leathers, just hit your chest (which is protected by your sleeveless top) and fly off Thumbs Up

Hope thats of some use? Thumbs Up

My last leather suit that I had a removeable inner lining for summer use. The actual suit was perforated like a tea bag effect across the chest and stomach, and you could feel the breeze coming through at speed, on the converse, you got a little wet in the rain.

I do not envy anyone wearing protective gear in this weather if you have to commute and get changed at the end for work, I'm sitting around and have betty swollocks.

I saw a cool trick last night, just open your leather jacket fully, then to prevent any wasps being able to get near your chest, travel on the back wheel only! Shocked

Gotta admit, he did look cool. Wink
