Well last night the GSR got stolen, not my bike per say but i'd come to love it after 3 months of riding it.

But the worst thing, apart from spending all of yesterday fitting a new exhaust system, is that it had my passport under the seat, and I was meant to be flying to Paris today.

I am so gutted and pissed off, this is the 3rd bike ive had stolen.

Re: The passport.

Bugger. Sad

Silly question I know, but why leave a passport under a bike seat?

I'd just picked it up from my parents, and having no pockets on me I put it under the seat, and forgot to take it out.

Blieve one of his bikes (rs250) was stolen in town, lifted into the back of a van. Only went into a shop so I remember.

i agree... they'll keep coming back, knowing it's likely you'll replace the bike, and it's relatively easy pickings.

those bikes are still pretty new/rare shouldn't be too hard to find?
In a dodgy dealers perhaps or on ebay before the HPI comes up stolen

Your next bike should be a shoddy looking rat bike so no one wants to steal it Laughing

I smell a rat. Is this a ploy to get a sportsbike? I read your bit about liking sportsbikes, and all of a sudden your naked GSR goes missing........ Wink

Hope, you get up and running soon fella. Thumbs Up

Hmmm, I think you may well of gotten to the crux of the matter. £5 says the replacement bike has an extra 'X' in the name! Razz

On a seperate note, they really are incredibly noisy are they not. My hornet had twin mivv race cans on, jsut bimbling through town and it was DRONING away at a db level I never thought possible. Only exhausts someone has commented on too (comment = those are horrible exhausts lol)

Sorry to hear that Khal.

I've never had a bike stolen *touches wood* but the GF's car has been broken into. It was only an old metro and was worth nothing, and the thieves didn't get away with anything but still its a horrible feeling.

Hopefully Peterboghorror will be less of a crime hotspot!

Hope Emap tags all of their bikes with Smartwater or something... would make a good mag article for all of the big lads to go round some thieving scumbags house with baseball bats and kindly smiles on their faces...

Chin up, maybe they'll give you the Daytona 675... or even better Maybe you'll get a Buell!! Very Happy

I might send an email to the editor!! Wink
