my girlfriend is crazy on bikes i cant ever get out on a ride without her - be glad when she completes her test and gets her own bike.
The mate who i ride with's wife is always moaning about him going out and wasting time on the bike

do your gf/wife/husband/bf ride too, pillion or do they just put up with your bike obsessions ?

the DVLA revoked my wifes driving licence on medical grounds.

She has no choice in the matter, as I don't drive., so it's her only mode of transport, well she does have a free bus pass though.

The wife hates me riding .

My eldest daughter, on the other hand, loves it.

Since my bike was written off 5 weeks ago the wife has been a lot happier......... Evil or Very Mad

my gf loves going pillion, and we're looking at getting her licence when she's passed her car test this summer.

there's no bike I have that she dislikes, and has even named a couple of them

My girlfriend is ok about it but does give me a bit of grief. She obviously has her concerns about safety.
She will take the piss saying it's a 'girls bike', because I bought it from a woman(who actually happened to be damn fit!!) and that stuck in her head(jealous).
I tell her I'll be getting a GSXR600 / R1 soon and that puts her back in her place.
None of my mates ride bikes and recently my mates fiance said she'd pay for his DAS course so he could get a bike. I was suprised I was actually quite concerned. I sort of worry about being responsible for him riding a bike and any consequences. It really is quite a selfish thing.

My Mrs itsn't really fussed, it was hard enough getting her to pass her driving test, there is no way she'd ride a bike.

She used to go pillion with me before we had our daughter 6 years ago (and before she passed her car test), but there is no need for her to do that now, and she's not really interested. Hence the reason my past few bikes have all been single seaters.

This is my hobby, and the Mrs isn't into bikes at all, although has no problem with me riding what so ever.

We have thing we enjoy doing together and as a family, and also thing to do on our own. All in all its pretty cool.

Thumbs Up

my gf does that to a mate of mine, who's got a V-Rod and a Heritage Soft-tail. She delights in telling him they're "pretty bikes" cos they are all shiny Very Happy

he doesn't like it Very Happy

My G/F worried whenever I was out on the bike, not manically, but she said it was always something in the back of her mind. Never once tried to stop me though Thumbs Up

My OH rides bikes, he's on here somewhere.
I met him through biking rather than one of us introducing the other to biking.

I personally have been riding bikes since I was 7 and I'm a bit mad
Dad rides bikes and has done for many moons

mom hates them, made dad sell his when they got married and now much to her disapproval my brother and I and now dad all have bikes again Cool Laughing

From the 1st time I mentioned about going for a bike license etc my OH has encouraged me to get go for it. She even bought my 1st pair of boots (Sidi Vertigos) ready for my CBT and DAS.

She says she'd like to go for a weekend blast, but I insisted that she get the proper kit yet... which we're saving for at the moment

Hmm...tricky one, my GF is into Harleys and the like, mainly cuz of the V Twin lump sound...but i'm slowly transforming her into an IL4 girl Razz

Will take her out for a blast when i can get someone to lend her proper gear, otherwise i'll refuse. With loved ones, it's safety first, i just don't give a f**k about my own life Laughing

My G/Fis a lot happier now I've started riding mainly on the track.

It's far safer for the type of riding I enjoy, plus I have a lot more time at home because I'm not always chomping at the bit wanting to make the best oportunity of any spare time/weather.

She has never liked motorbiking, but I decided to take the plunge 2 years ago to get a bike and she has never restricted me in anyway which is cool.

my better half just cant get enough of biking with me, every time we are without the kids were off on the bike going some where. im just glad she has a interest in them as well cos i cant stand all the nagging like i got off my EX about my bike. the better half is keen to get her own bike and has done her theory and about to do her CBT, then next on the list will be a honda NSR 125 to get her 6 months road experience then in for the kill and book her a direct access course. fingers crossed for her she will pass Thumbs Up

I was riding long before I met my bf, as was he before he met me. In the 10 years or so I have been riding I have only gone out with men who also ride. It's such a big part of my life it would be unfair to go out with someone who wasnt into it.

My OH is very supportive of the whole thing, but shows the appropriate amount of concern as well.
I've only had my DAS since 12/05 so its still a bit new.

I'm looking forward to getting her on pillion. Shes been driving for 15 years or so and isn't the best passenger so we'll see how that goes.

We're getting married soon and she has commented that if I was getting married to the bike I'd be a lot more organised than I am ...

Thumbs Up

My second husband weren't thrilled about me getting a bike at all - although I think it was the sort of company he was worried I might keep - but then he was on the way thru the Out Door anyway, by the time I got a bike back on the road. Twisted Evil

I was dumb enough, when I first got into biking over here, to be interested in any bloke wearing a cut-off and talking the talk - but after a couple of timewasters, I ended up making a personal rule that I weren't gonna shag anyone alleging to be a biker until I got a ride on their bike/s (front or back seat) Rolling Eyes

Hence why No. 1 Mr hellkat, despite his many and varied peculiarities, managed to get his slippers under my sofa for so long: he took me for a ride on his bike the first night I met him, and almost every day for months after that, due to the fact that I lost my licence for 3 months on an insurance nick shortly after meeting him Embarassed

No. 2 Mr hellkat managed to get out of letting me have a ride on the back of his bike for a year or two, but various factors caused me to be reasonably convinced that he was biker-enough to let him get away with it ... and I eventually bullied him into letting me have a ride on his bike (on the back!) anyway. Swine won't let me ride it myself, though. Grrr!
