https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/europe/uk/warnings.html

UK EARLY WARNINGS OF SEVERE WEATHER

These warnings are issued to help the public make informed decisions that protect their life, welfare and property in the event of severe weather over the next few days. They are issued when fixed weather thresholds are met. See the guide for more details.

Current warnings:

EARLY WARNING OF SEVERE WEATHER

EARLY WARNING of Heatwave Issued by the Met Office at 11:30 on Friday, 9 June

OVERALL RISK ASSESSMENT: The probability of disruption due to severe weather conditions in part of the United Kingdom within the next 94 hours is 60 percent.

This is the first warning of disruption due to Heatwave.

The Met Office is forecasting southerly winds to bring some very warm air across Eastern Great Britain over the weekend and into early next week, with increasing humidity later in the period. The warmest air is likely to affect central and eastern parts of England with some areas becoming hot, or very hot. There is a 50 percent chance that temperatures in Northeast England, Yorkshire and Humberside will reach daytime maxima of 29 degrees Celsius and nightime minima of 17 degrees Celsius, fulfilling the criteria for Heat-Health Watch warning.

The criteria for the issue of a Heatwave warning across England and Wales is based on the Heat-Health Watch service, refer to this service for further information on the thresholds for issue of the warning.

This warning will be updated by 12:00 Saturday 10th June 2006.

Bunch of cowards, what heatwave?

People who complain of heatwaves should go to the sahara,

Ground temperature under the sun reaches about 60 degrees celcius Cool

Air temperature is about 45 to 50 deg C

Wear a full body armour/chemical warfare suit, a helmet, and walk through 1-2 feet deep sand for 15 miles, with just one bottle of water Twisted Evil

Have eye on RS125R at the moment, but maybe a bit chav and slow @13odd bhp compared to the previous 100 odd bhp of the ZXR.

I still have half a mind for a little Lifan monkey Thinking Or, maybe not as I have no garage and it would be nicked
