I found out the best way to dismantle a vacuum cleaner was to use the hose to suck up some petrol fumes. Once that gets into the motor it WILL come apart.. however, don't be surprised if some of the parts end up more than 150ft away... |

I've replaced the motor in a DC07 before, won't be doing it again.
I still have nightmares about the stupid rubber sleeve that the motor fits into.
Best of luck. |

Well i did put it back together this morning before the F1 started. Im amazed that nothing broke in the process however! I tried it out for a few seconds, and it worked really well with the hose, sucking up all the dust and crap off my workbench, but when i tried it normally on the carpet, the rotating brush started squealing after a few seconds, and now it's stuck solid!
Time to take it to a repair shop me thinks! |
