Varadero 125 (4stroke) just over 70mph stock sprockets etc

2002 NSR125R1 (2stroke) touched a hundred on the clocks

but they're both examples of non budget 125's

the honda Cruiser 125 (shadow I think) although same engine as the varadero is alot slower with a top speed of just over 50mph( or atleast a friends one has this top speed)

Id need to see that before i belive it! What is the standing 1/4mile time like on a Mito then? Ive seen RS125's tested that were doing around 15.6-15.8sec 1/4's and about 6.5-6.8sec 0-60mph times. The KMX200 was tested by MCN at 15.62sec@ 87mph, and id be suprised if a Mito is much faster if that?

5.5? dont talk out your ass, in the real world 0-60 on a 125 is between 7-9 seconds.

1/4 is about 17 seconds for a RS125 i think, 15 seconds you would need some good mods.

Hi

Full power 2 stroke 125 sports bike will manage a true 95~100mph. The Mito and RS are within a gnats of each other on performance. About 7 seconds to 60. Original road test for the RS got it to do a standing 1/4 in 15.25.

Remember that the speedos are often a long way out.

All the best

Keith

When i had my 2001 Cagiva Evolution 125cc, i got a top speed of about 75mph and that was straining it. It was still legally restricted, and for going round town, i didnt feel the need to go any faster.
not sure how fast it got there.
has anyone had or still have a cagiva mito? what was yours like? any de-restricted cagiva mito owners?
also, my mate had an aprillia rs125, and that was derestricted to 33bhp, and that flew! he said he got 110mph, not sure if true though as never witnessed it, but was extremely quick off the mark!

My old (well not that old) rs125 hit an indicated 110, which probobly meant 95 with RS clocks. It just takes a while to get there :p
And also don't do it very often... and yes this was on.. err.."private land" :p

Just before my DAS last year I got the CG125 on a NSL dual carriageway, slightly downhill, with the throttle pinned, and bike unladen (except for one fat arsed newbie biker Wink )
and still only had an indicated 68-69mph...
