My brother was going along the middle lane of the motorway. Bike pulls up next to him. The guy jumps off and puts both his feet on the left hand side on the road for a few seconds then jumps back on and burns off.

Why would you do this on public roads? Let alone at 60+. Surely if there was even a tiny dimp in the road he'd be fucked?

I think its called "Sckitching" or something. And its jolly well bad form.

Same as wheelies, stoppies, burnouts... Whistle

Should only be attempted on "Closed private roads" officer. Wink

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

I was riding along with both feet on one side of the bike yesterday... Just... because. I felt like stretching as I'd been riding for ages. I daren't put them on the ground instead of the peg though.

Try it, kinda tickling sensation through your feet Laughing I ride one handed at the moment swinging it through the air, bit of a habbit at the moment on Motorway or Dual Carraigeway.

Note for anyone planning on trying this, you need to have special tin boots made up so you slide. Otherwise youd put your feet down, grip, and get shot backwards.

I'm all for wheelies and stoppies I just thought that was really unsafe because with wheelies you have control of more of the variables.

The people I ride with here are absolute nutters on the road.

They will not hesitate in wheeling down a highway at peak hours at 70 + mph

Not to mention the one guy who grabs his front brake locks his wheel and makes it screech so you look at him and he moves on to the next person in the group and so on Laughing

Playing tag at insane speeds is also fun.

Slapping people round the back of the lid is also expected.

And my favorite touching their front wheel to you back wheel at speed, priceless Confused

thats not true actually, only reason people put metal boots on are to not wear out shoes or produce sparks etc... you don't actually put any weight on your feet when skitching thats when you fall off Wink you take most of the weight with your arms leaning on the tank or rear tail if hanging off the back..

i dont like skitching personally, think its a bit gay looking Laughing

My mate used to do it on his TS50, only 30mph but still ace Laughing

We talked him into doing it with rollerblades once too, changing gear was a mission but once going it worked well Very Happy

I made a bad decision but I know it was stupid. I definately wont be riding like a twat any time soon.

I think I'd be dirty as hell if someone pulled up along side me and did something like this.

If you wanna find an empty road and have ago at it then fine but take into consderation how the poor bastard in the car will feel once you stack it and end up under the front wheels.

I have the same attitude to the guy in his cage lighting the back wheels up from the traffic lights beside me in the cage. One wrong move and he's fucking my car up and putting my life in danger.

I simply dont appreicate it nor will I tolerate it. I'll also pass on my opinions when stopping at the next set of lights.

If you wanna be a nong on the road that's fine but do it near me and potentially threaten my saftey and I'll certainly let you know about it.

Now if I had kids and they were in my car when this happened god help em.

how i feel, you will not believe how many times i have been overtaken at blind corners, even on corners that are notorious for accidents, if i could catch up with said car they would have lost a wing mirror thats for sure, but sadly 40 just isnt enough really Razz

i dont mind people messing about, just as long as they are only risking themselves.

I must admit im not one to do silly things like that on a normal ride out - but when you're chomping serious motorway miles it does get very boring and doing supermans, sitting on tank, standing on seat hands outstretched etc, is a good way of breaking up the boredom. Karma
