Hey, ive been riding since a week before christmas when i got my CG which i love and its great! I have no regrets about not learning to drive at all and im getting lessons after i get back from Kenya and after exams (21st of july) and eventually take my test (A1 i think!) all this is great! its just i kinda wish i had a close friend to ride with, you know, someone that knows all the good biking routes and we could both meet people for rideouts etc (too shy on my own Razz) its probably just immaturity on my part, the fact that i havent had the confidence 2 ask local ppl if they fancied a rideout etc. but i really want my close mates 2 get in2 biking! all of them are learning/ already drive cars, sure ive been out 2 the coast with them.... but its just not the same!! I was walkin along the coast the other day and saw 2 'L' plated bikes pull in 2 where all the done up cars were and start chatting. Man i envy them! The nearest i have to a biking friend is my uncle (suzuki bandit 650)
who first got me liking bikes by taking me as pillion, he knows some good roads etc. but its my uncle! u know what i mean Razz
anyway, my little bitch rant is over, any words of advice?

thanks, Kam

There is, but you said that you were going to do your test so I assumed you could use them. By the way, you should get yourself to Extreme3D's BBQ on the 24th. Check the National section, oh and the rideout should be ok, you won't get left behind. Thumbs Up

just get chatting to ppl on similar bikes
easier said than done i know

one day i was on my rs125, and i saw 2 lads and a bike that is often parked near me. the one lad summoned me over, and i got chatting to them. the bike belonged to his mate, and the reason the beckoning guy was so friendly was he was stoned. this was good as neither i nor gaz (bike owner) wd have introcuced each other.

then gaz met matt and i now ride with matt about once a week but dont really see gaz much anymore

haha, moral of the story, get stoned and meet as many ppl as possible Very Happy I saw a couple of ppl at the beach yesterday when i was walking with my parents, one guy on a yamaha DT and the other on a WB something or other (sounded like a 50cc bike) was gonna go over 2 them and start chatting but they looking like a couple of charvs so i didnt bother. Next time maybe Very Happy
